MEGAKILL privacy
MEGAKILL sends limited usage data associated with a random installation identifier. It measures app launches and aggregate use. The telemetry payload does not contain app names, window titles, file names, document contents, keystrokes, or screenshots.
Data sent by the Mac app
Every app event includes a random installation identifier, the MEGAKILL version, and the macOS version. Depending on what happened, the event sent to https://dl.aibot0x.com/event records:
- An app-open event when MEGAKILL starts.
- Aggregate shots, kills, and seconds since the previous activity report when there has been activity.
- An event when the free limit is reached or an unlock is activated.
The app does not send the name of the app or process you target. It also does not send the window title, bundle identifier, screen contents, files, or keyboard input. Network errors are ignored and do not stop MEGAKILL from working.
Data sent by this website
The website uses a self-hosted Umami analytics service to count page views and interactions such as download clicks, demo use, and scroll depth. The tracker is limited to megakill.app, removes query strings and URL fragments, respects the browser's Do Not Track setting, and does not send events when browser automation identifies itself.
The site does not use advertising cookies or session replay. You can block the analytics request without affecting downloads or page content.
Downloads and payments
Download links pass through dl.aibot0x.com and deliver the release hosted on GitHub. Purchases are handled by Gumroad. Those services process their own request and payment data under their respective policies.
